A NEW, limited-run 4x4 dual-cab Triton has lobbed, called the GLX+, which adds extra gear over the GLX on which itís based at no additional cost.

Priced at $36,990 (plus on-road costs) as a six-speed manual, the Triton GLX+ 4x4 Double Cab gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear-view camera, display audio with 6.1-inch colour touchscreen and rear step bumper over the Triton in GLX spec.

The GLX+ is also available with the five-speed auto option for an additional $2500, making it a $39,490 proposition (plus on-road costs).

The Triton, which arrived in its latest guise last May, is sitting in third place in the 4x4 ute sales tally this year, with sales up 1.4 per cent over the same period last year. This compares to a 38.1 per cent rise for the Ford Ranger and 17.1 per cent for the Toyota HiLux in the same period.
