Alpina hits Oz

Steroid-fed Beemers to land in Aussie dealers

AUSTRALIA will soon fall into Alpina territory, with BMW’s go-fast thirdparty introducing a four-tier range available at Melbourne’s Doncaster and Bundoora BMW dealers from November. The Alpina B4 bi-turbo coupe will arrive first as a $160K and 301kW/600Nm version of the $99,500 435i coupe. A B4 convertible, B3 sedan and Touring will follow for M3/M4 coin, all with a 3.0-litre turbo six and eight-speed automatic claiming 0-100km/h between 4.2sec (coupe and sedan) and 4.5sec (drop-top). BMW’s current local wagon range tops out with the 330i which only has 185kW.
