RENAULT’S Alpine A110 edges closer to Australian shores after the brand recently confirmed production specs for its first variant.

The mid-engine rear driver will arrive solely as a special launch edition, decking out the Alfa Romeo 4C fighter with sports-focused features. Chief among them are the monocoque sports seats, Brembo brakes and special discs, an ‘active’ sports exhaust and 18-inch Otto Fuchs wheels. Inside, a Focal audio system and carbon-fibre accents join brushed alloy pedals.

Its specification is inspired by the ‘Premiere Edition’ announced overseas, which weighs 1103kg, fires to 100km/h from rest in 4.5secs, and extracts 186kW/320Nm from its 1.8-litre turbocharged four banger.

Following the launch model’s run, other variants will become available. More details will follow leading up to the car’s launch in the second half of 2018. nd on, hief ecial , s. r. . 018
