THE 17th edition of Street Machine Hot Rod is on sale now, with Norm Hardinge’s V12 coupe in pride of place on the cover. As usual, we’ve poured every ounce of our collective passion for hot rods, customs, history, art and cool bikes into something that is more like a coffeetable book than a mag. Get on it!
THE Scenic Rim Motorsports Association is a great group of people who work hard to promote all kinds of motorsport in the Scenic Rim Shire, about an hour south of Brisbane. One of their big events for the year is the Spring Swapmeet, held at Beaudesert Showgrounds on 11 September.
As well as a honking big swap, they put on a huge show ’n’ shine, with camping, catering and plenty of vendors. For more info, check out springswapmeet.com.au.
OCTOBER already! So yeah Ford fans, you didn’t get your usual ration of Blue Oval goodness this issue, with just one Mustang and one Fordpowered HG Holden to tide you over. But Henry’s finest will be back with a vengeance next issue – though we can’t promise all the Ford feature cars will necessarily have Ford product under the bonnet! We’ll also check out Mopar Sunday, get up close and personal with the new crop of Burnout Masters and visit a shed stuffed full of movie cars. Plus heaps more! Check it out when the mag goes on sale 8 September, and log on to streetmachine.com.au for daily updates in the meantime.
