CAR nuts have been tinkering with small-block Chevys for decades now, but the golden era of go-fast small-block parts is now upon us. Edelbrock and Summit Racing have come to the rescue with Edelbrock’s new Performer RPM Small-Bore Cylinder Heads, designed for small blocks with 3.736in to 4.000in bores. Edelbrock states that the secret is the valve spacing, which is reduced to allow for the smaller cylinder bores. All this means better breathing for more power and better throttle response.
