The Henry Lawson Festival Car Show is on Sunday 12th June 2016 at the lower end of Main Street in Grenfell NSW. The car show is held by the Grenfell Car Club in conjunction with the Henry Lawson Festival. There are a variety of classes and prizes are awarded in each. This is a terrific opportunity to observe some rare and much loved vehicles which are not normally on display in such an accessible location.

Over 2 kilometres of Rock ‘n roll, Rockabilly, Swing music and over 1000 hot rods, custom cars and classic vehicles lining the stunning beachfront of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads all over two huge weeks. Peruse through speciality exhibitors featuring an assortment of products ranging from speciality car parts, motorcycle accessories and pin striping methods. Check out the surf theme markets over in Kirra Beach precinct or pick up a bargain at our Swap Meet over in Jack Evans Boat Harbour. Music fills the venues, more retro cars roll up each day and the festival builds and builds, culminating in a Grand Finale weekend where the streets are closed down, the outdoor stages are moved in and the streets come alive with street parades, shows, displays, competitions and over 1300 cars parading from Kirra to Tweed Heads each evening.
The Downunder Beachfest is a new event organised by the Australian Street Rod Federation Qld. and is a hot rod and chrome bumper era cars festival that will be
held in Caloundra from the 9th-13th June 2016. Open to vehicles pre 83 – finned, chromed, striped, whitewalls and cool most welcome.
Friday registration followed by some crusin’. On Saturday there will be a street Show n Shine and more cruising.

The Charters Towers Restorers Club Inc will host the 38th Annual Motor Show & Swap Meet at the Charters Towers Showgrounds. All veteran, vintage, historic, hot rod and classic motor vehicles welcome. This event has become major event for Charters Towers over the Queens Birthday long weekend attracting crowds in excess of 3000 people.
For 2016, we have secured a prestigious feature attraction, Dave and Lyn Keens 1955 FJ Holden “IBADFJ”. Featuring two huge super cruises, Bill Henderson Observation Rally, Go-to-Whoa, Show ’n’ Shine and the biggest Swap Meet in North Queensland. The Jandowae Car, Ute and Bike Show is being held on the 12th June 2016 at the Jandowae Showgrounds from 9am.

The All American Independence Day at Lakeside Park is open to all American built vehicles.
With over three hours of cruising throughout the day, Show ’n’ Shine, 1/8th mile drags and kids entertainment.
If you have an American beauty bring it along for a great family day out at Lakeside Park. Off the track, the paddock area will be chock full with every shape and size of yank iron imaginable.
During the day there will be Open Cruising and Club Cruising Sessions, so participants can cruise the track along side hundreds of like minded drivers.

The annual Show ’n’ Shine event will be held on Sunday 31st July 2016 at Strand Park, Townsville. All makes of vehicles are welcome and there are a lot of trophies to be presented.
The public has free entry to view all the cars and enjoy the activities. Trade displays by sponsors are most welcome. Registration is only $20 per vehicle. Cars in no later than 9am, trophy presentation at 2pm.

The Back to Brunswick Hot Rod Run is on 8-10th July 2016 in Brunswick Heads on the NSW north coast. This years guest is Troy Ladd from Hollywood Hotrods.
On Friday meet in the park at 11.30am opposite Hotel Brunswick and cruise to lunch. Registration open from 4pm - 6pm at the Hotel Brunswick, 4 Mullumbimbi St, Brunswick Heads.
Saturday kicks off with an observation run at Hotel Brunswick at 10am with registration. After the observation run it will be back to the pub for wining, dining and an auction from 7pm with live music.

When we first hosted this cruise in the middle of July 11 years ago, we had no idea if anyone would turn up. We now know that provided it’s not a completely miserable wet winter’s day, up to 200 cars have rolled up in past years. So we’ve planned another Mid Winter cruise
for 2016 with fingers crossed for a dry sunny day!
This year’s cruise for pre ’75 rods, muscle cars, chrome bumper classics and pickups takes us into our own backyard, the coastal roads and rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula.
