THAT WAS A SURPRISE!
Given the huge popularity of Australian-built cars in this magazine, we fully expected a local make to win our annual Readers Resto of the Year vote. But no, it was a stunning E-type coupe, widely admired as one of the most beautiful car shapes ever made and, in this case, a stunning resto. Second was another long-nosed coupe, the Datsun 240Z and third was the brilliant looking GTR tribute. All these cars remain online – so if you missed a story, have a look now. In the meantime, thanks to the thousands of folk who voted and the 13 hardworking and dedicated owners who made it possible. See tradeuniquecars.com. au/2018ReaderResto
2nd DATSUN 240Z
WITH NOTHING more than a very second-hand Datsun 240Z shell to start with, Marc Abdelahad took on a massive task.
3rd TORANA LC GTR TRIBUTE
IT TOOK A LOT of determination to find the right car, but it was worth the trouble.
EH HOLDEN S4
IT’S ONE OF the most original Aussie muscle cars; but not in the way you think.
