Now we know where Volvo got the colour for their Polestar cars. It was from Ford in the mid-70s. Who would have ever guessed? This very tidy XB family truckster seems to be used as a daily driver given I spotted it at a servo carpark.

As you can tell by the photo, this old two-door Valiant wasn't a city car and has seen better days. For me it's a case of things you see when you you're not expecting to. Sad that this Val, once a bit of a luxo, was left to rot in the scrub

The ‘Tank’ Fairlane had a big impact arriving here in 1959. We were relieved that there wouldn't be yet another facelift of the Customline. This beaut example comes equipped with the full suite of accessories, including kerb feelers. Loved it.

Alfas don’t have a reputation for being bulletproof in the mechanicals but I really hope this one was being transported to or from a specialist before or after some TLC. Even after all these years the soft top Alfa is still a piece of auto art.
