1962 ALFA ROMEO HIGHTOP

This is probably the only example of a hightop in the country. They made four of them and fitted them out as service vehicles for the United States.

They had a mini workshop in the back and they would go round the dealerships and show them how to rebuild drivelines. It originally had a 1300 twin cam Alfa motor, now it has a 1600 twin cam, with a ZF four-speed box as a transaxle driving the front wheels.

Itís completely flat in the back you can stand up in it. I found it in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of a deceased estate. It was red, white and green when I got it and it looked crap. We went nuts with it and this is the original livery.
