WHAT is the future of LPG given that the only two factory cars fuelled by LPG are on death row?

We are already seeing the taxi industry move to hybrid-powered cars and the traditional conversion market is surely shrinking as we move away from big sixes towards four-cylinder engines and diesels. Will LPG pumps soon start disappearing from our service stations? Is a dedicated LPG Commodore or Falcon a bad choice for a buyer looking for a 10-year ownership?

We’ve also lost the LPG conversion subsidy as of June 2014, which decimated dedicated-gas Falcon and Commodore sales. Many fourcylinder cars can convert to run on LPG. Servos are unlikely to discontinue LPG any time soon, so it still makes sense, for now.
