LAST year I purchased two company cars from Volkswagen.

My concern is that the speedo readings are set at 10 percent below the true speed.

Better than 10 percent above, but my staff are now second-guessing their speed and travelling at an indicated 106kmh on a freeway just to keep up with the traffic flow. They cannot rely on the accuracy of the speedo. Worse still, they are now relying on a mobile phone app to indicate the speed.

As these are company cars, I am concerned about workplace health and safety issues with a 10 percent allowance. A two percent allowance would be more realistic.
