Toyota’s CX-3 beater due in 2016

TOYOTA will introduce its rival to the popular Mazda CX-3 in 2016. Priced and sized below the venerable RAV4, the as-yet unnamed production version of the C-HR concept (left) will be revealed on March 3 at the Geneva motor show, before being rolled out globally.

The C-HR is rumoured to usher in a range of fresh four-cylinder petrol engines, including direct-injection turbo units as small as 1.2 litres. It’s due in Australia in the last quarter of next year, and should be priced from about $20,000.
