HOLDEN ON

I HAVE loved Holden from the day my father bought a new VH Commodore SL/E in the early 1980s. My love for Holden – and I think this applies to most people who buy them – translates to General Motors.

Whether or not a car sells under the Holden or Chevrolet badge really shouldn’t matter too much. It certainly doesn’t to me.

Holden’s interiors (and sound systems) always let them down and continue to do so. I have to believe that GM avoided doing better interiors so as not to compete with Cadillac, which wasn’t even here!

If they go front-drive with Commodore, Cadillac needs to be sold here. Or Chevrolet needs to build a reardrive SS and Caprice (and maybe Calais) for Holden.
