Lambo chief jumps to Audi

Stefan Winkelmann, the sharp-suited former Fiat salesman who transformed Lamborghini from a niche sports car brand into a lucrative business, has been appointed to lead Audiís specialist performance division. Volkswagen Group, the owner of both Audi and Lamborghini, announced that Winkelmann would head up its Quattro division, responsible for turning out performance-honed Audis. Winklemann replaces Heinz Hollerweger, who is retiring.

His replacement at Lamborghini will be former Ferrari F1 chief Stefano Domenicali.
