Porsche’s cheeky stab at Honda

has been left a little red-faced after the Porsche 911 GT3 it purchased to benchmark the handling of its NSX hybrid supercar let slip the Japanese firm’s rogue intentions to Stuttgart.

Honda purchased the GT3 to assess its steering set-up, but a safety recall led Porsche to the realisation of the Honda development team’s ownership when data from the car’s black box was downloaded. On returning the car, Porsche left a written message on the underside of an engine cover reading: “Good luck, Honda, from Porsche. See you on the other side.”
