Mercedes-Benz has fleshed out its E-Class range with the arrival of the E350e plug-in hybrid and E43 AMG.
The E350e uses a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder and electric motor to produce 210kW and 550Nm, for a 0-100km/h time of 6.2sec.
The official fuel figure is just 2.4L/100km, helped by the battery pack that allows all-electric running for up to 30km before the car needs to be recharged (from a regular powerpoint).
Meanwhile, the E43 AMG adds all-paw traction to the local range.
The AMG-fettled version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 makes 295kW and 520Nm for a launchcontrol 0-100km/h time of 4.6sec.
