Three cheers for Ingenium triple

Jaguar has stressed the modularity and flexibility of its Ingenium petrol engine, and during a recent visit to the company’s engine manufacturing plant in Wolverhampton, UK, we saw plans for the crankshaft for a 1.5-litre threecylinder Ingenium petrol engine. Nobody was Ja fle du m sa cy willing to go on record to confirm where the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit would end up, but it would appear a solid fit for the E-Pace compact SUV, providing an attractive entry-level sticker price for a car that’s expected to do a lot of Jaguar’s volume work.
