THE NEW METAL HEADING OUR WAY

DUE OCT

HYUNDAI SANTA FE

Because wall-to-wall grilles are where itís at right now, get a load of the new Santa Fe. Most manufacturers unleash a facelift and try to tell you itís a new car. Hyundai has done the opposite: this Santa Fe rides on an all-new platform. Inside thereís a broad centre console and a 10.25-inch centre screen. No word on engines or pricing yet, but the Santa Fe has grown in size with this model, arriving just three years after its predecessor debuted.

DUE SEP

TOYOTA HILUX

As well as a facelift, power steps up from 130kW to 150kW. This also boosts towing capacity from 3200kg to 3500kg, depending if you choose the 420Nm manual or the 500Nm auto. There are also suspension changes for better comfort.

DUE DEC

PORSCHE 911 TA RGA

The $275,800 Targa 4 and the $314,100 Targa 4S, good for 283 and 331kW respectively, feature a roof that opens and closes in 19secs. Thereís also a clever electronic rear diff thatís standard on the 4S and a $3120 option on the Targa 4.
